You're unique! You know this, and yet most mainstream, sports-related dietary advice will have you eating the same foods as the next athlete ... whether it's carbo-loading before races, drinking/eating energy drinks/bars during training, keeping animals meats and fats at a minimum, these are all 'blanket' dietary policies that don't take into account your personal metabolic needs.
What if you're a 'fast oxidiser'? In other words, someone who tends to convert their sugars into energy really quickly ... as an athlete, your performance will undoubtably improve, should you both include (good quality) animal meats and fats regularly in your diet, and reduce dramatically, your intake of carbs. Trust us - in our work getting athletes metabolically typed over the years, we've seen PBs being beaten during TRAINING sessions, for goodness sake!
